Arsenal has taken the first step of the remaining five in the Premier League this weekend, arguably the toughest on paper. Although the charges Mikel Arteta's At the Emirates Stadium, they „only“ beat Newcastle 1-0, so the most important thing remains the three points. While significantly improving their goal difference in an extremely tight title race would be great, it's important to stay grounded. Arsenal will have another chance at home this weekend, when they host Fulham. The main objective remains the same: to win. If the Gunners succeed, they will temporarily go six points ahead of the second-placed Cityzens. This could put the players from the blue side of Manchester under more pressure. However, I don't want to get ahead of myself, so I must mention that before the league match against Fulham, Arsenal faces their first Champions League semi-final match against Atlético in Madrid. Another challenging and exciting week awaits us!

Premier League
- Arsenal's players managed to react to two consecutive league defeats and beat Newcastle 1:0 on home soil, thanks to which they returned to the top of the league table.
- The only goal of the match was scored by Eberechi Eze, which, however, had to be substituted prematurely due to injury. The same fate befell Kai Havertz, who coincidentally assisted at Eze's goal. Initial reports from the club suggest that the injuries to this pair should not be serious, but no official statement has yet been issued by the club regarding their health status.
- David Raya The goalkeeper kept another clean sheet in the current Premier League season, specifically his 16th clean sheet of the campaign! He has equalled his personal best from the 2023/2024 season and has also pulled away from his rivals in the race for the Golden Glove. Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is currently in second place, has kept 13 clean sheets so far. If the Spanish goalkeeper maintains his lead for the remainder of the season, this will be his third consecutive Golden Glove.
- Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League by 3 points from Manchester City, but have played one more game. Assuming the Cityzens win their postponed match against Crystal Palace, which is (for now) scheduled for 22. 5. 2026 at 21:00 (CET), then goal difference will decide the standings. Specifically, the difference in goals, i.e., the difference between goals scored and goals conceded, which currently narrowly favours London's Arsenal (38 vs 37). If these statistics are also tied, the deciding factor will be the number of goals scored, in which Manchester's players are currently better (66 vs 64). Therefore, in the remaining part of the season, not only points but most likely goals will play a role in the title race.
