When at the end of 2024 the media started to circulate information about the fact that Max Dowman, only 14 years old, was starting to appear at the A's training sessions, few people knew what a talent he was. At the moment, the English footballer is one of the absolute greatest footballing gems in the country. We all had a chance to see his qualities in full during the summer training ahead of the 2025/2026 season. Dowman featured in several games in which he showed himself in the best possible light. Deservedly, he soon made his Premier League debut on 23 August 2025 in a home game against Leeds at the age of 15 years and 235 days, making him the second youngest player ever to play in the Premier League. The record is held by his teammate Ethan Nwaneri, who was less than two months younger at the time of his debut. But let's go back to Dowman briefly. I was lucky enough to see him play live and I have to confirm that he is something incredible. At fifteen years old, to play with such audacity and quality is truly unprecedented, which is why I can't forgive myself for the line at the end „Remember the name!“. Why? Because we'll be hearing a lot about Max Dowman in the future.

Max Dowman is now the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history. In the 30th round of the Premier League against Everton (14 March 2026) he scored in injury time to make the score 2-0 and at the age of 16 years and 73 days he made English football history.
