Martín Zubimendi, the footballer who was in the crosshairs Mikel Arteta's for a long time. In the case of the Spanish manager, however, the saying "He who waits, waits" has been confirmed. Arsenal snapped up their dream midfield reinforcements in the summer transfer window in 2025. And that was no easy task. However, Zubimendi eventually opted for a move to Arsenal, where he would become the final piece of the puzzle in terms of the composition of the centre midfield. The Spaniard is expected to take over the role of Thomasto complete the stellar duo Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard. As for the transfer fee, Arsenal management had to send £55 million to the coffers of Real Sociedad, where Zubimendi grew up as a footballer. Arsenal have a great relationship with the Spanish club, a year before Martín Zubimendi's arrival he also headed to the Emirates Stadium Mikel Merino.
