The strongest possible lineup. That's exactly what I expect from a Spanish manager in charge of Arsenal. No holding back, no surprise or unproven moves. Defence

From the last league match, I don't expect a single change in the defensive ranks. The confirmed return doesn't change that either Riccardo Calafiori, which travelled to Spain with the team. The only position I hesitated over was right-back. In the absence of Jurriën Timber if Mikel Arteta has to decide between Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera. After the crazy shootout that was the PSG vs. Bayern semi-final, we're most likely to face a diametrically different game, which will almost certainly not be as spectator-friendly as the match between the other semi-finalists. Nothing suggests otherwise, at least. Diego Simeone is renowned for his defensive style of play and deadly counter-attacks. Although Mikel Arteta's style is by no means the same, it shares one common element: a solid defence. So, we are in for a clash of two teams that lean heavily on their defensive qualities.

So, what might the match itself look like? Arsenal is a team that likes to dictate the tempo of play and keep the game firmly under control, while Atlético prefers to wait for its chance in a deep block. The Gunners will therefore keep the ball at their feet and patiently look for openings in the home team's defence. Atlético, on the other hand, will wait for Arsenal to lose possession in order to exploit the open defence. The roles of both sides will certainly change during the match, as one must also consider that Atlético will be playing on home soil. Diego Simeone's charges will not want to play for a draw in front of their home fans. I believe that despite the very specific styles of both teams, we will not be bored in front of our screens.

Tip for an accurate result

Before moving on to the traditional tip for an accurate score, I'd like to remind you of the last meeting between the two teams, which took place in the group stage of this season's Champions League. Arsenal beat Atlético 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium in the autumn. Although the scoreline might seem completely dominant, a relatively even match was decided by a fantastic fifteen minutes from Arsenal in the second half. This time, however, we can expect a completely different game. Firstly, a semi-final and a group stage cannot be compared, and secondly, it will be played in Madrid. If Arsenal were to repeat the same result, I wouldn't complain, but that's unlikely to happen.

To be honest, I think the most likely outcome is a draw, specifically 0:0 or 1:1. However, as a devoted fan, I secretly believe Arsenal will take a narrow lead back from Madrid. I'm predicting a 2:1 win for Arsenal.
