One-nil to Arsenal. This is precisely the sentence, familiar to all fans of the North London club in the form of a chant, that could briefly summarise Arsenal's past week. This applies to both the Champions League and the domestic Premier League. The matches against Atlético and West Ham both ended with this exact scoreline, and in both cases, in favour of the Gunners. From this perspective, every Arsenal fan must be absolutely satisfied. On the other hand, it was once again a nail-biting affair, particularly in the match against West Ham. I assume there isn't a single English football supporter who hasn't seen the situation from the end of the match at the London Stadium, where Arsenal were saved in the final seconds of stoppage time by a foul by the Hammers during a corner. The situation provoked a storm of reactions among fans of rival teams, but the replays ultimately speak for themselves. I hope no one takes offence, but anyone who claims West Ham's goal should have stood either cannot objectively assess the situation or doesn't understand football.

Champions League
- Arsenal players managed in the home second leg thanks to a goal scored by Bukayo Saka, beating Atlético Madrid, which means they will appear in the Champions League final after a long twenty years. In Budapest, which will host the final match, Arsenal will face the reigning champions PSG. The match will be particularly spicy, especially for Mikel Arteta's charges, as they were knocked out by the French team just before the final last year.
- Arsenal extended their unbeaten run in Europe to 14 matches with victory against Atlético and remain undefeated in this season's Champions League. Can the charges Mikel Arteta's Will this streak continue in the final match too? Let's hope so!

Premier League
- The match between West Ham and Arsenal offered great drama and a nail-biting finish, in which the referee ultimately disallowed the Hammers' equaliser in stoppage time. The narrowest possible victory brought the North London club a step closer to their dream league title. Conversely, Sunday's result has significantly complicated West Ham's path to safety, which Nuno Espírito Santo's charges no longer have in their own hands.
- Arsenal have two league matches left to play, at home against Burnley and away against Crystal Palace. If the Gunners win both of them, they will go on to win the league title regardless of Manchester City's results. The condition is that they must win both matches. It is important to approach both matches with one hundred percent commitment, concentration and seriousness. No match is won by itself. The next step is therefore the home match against Burnley.
- The player of the match award went to the scorer of the only goal, Leandro Trossard. However, among Arsenal fans, the vote for the best player in the London derby was overwhelmingly won by David Raya, who made several great saves, most notably denying Mateus Fernandes a clear chance. The Spanish goalkeeper also kept his eighteenth clean sheet of the current Premier League season, so it is now certain that he will not share the Golden Glove this year. The third award for the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in a season in a row goes to Arsenal's number one. Only Pepe Reina, Joe Hart and Ederson have managed to complete a similar „hat-trick“ in the history of English football.
- The visit to the London Stadium, from which Arsenal ultimately took a very valuable three points, was unfortunately not without its complications. During the first half, a forced substitution had to be made. Ben White with a knee injury, which at first glance doesn't look good at all. He was also substituted at half-time due to injury Riccardo Calafiori, however, the type and extent of his injury are not yet known. Hopefully, neither of the defenders' injuries will be serious, but to be honest, I have concerns for Ben White.
Other
- The player of the month for April at Arsenal has been the defender Piero Hincapié.
- Jakub Kiwior is definitively moving to Portuguese club Porto, with whom he won the domestic league this year. Arsenal will receive €17 million for his sale, with a further €5 million in bonuses and a €2 million bonus from a potential future sale. Good luck, Jakub!
- Mikel Merino Although he hasn't appeared on the pitch since the end of January due to a foot injury, good news is still associated with him. Apart from the possibility that he may still appear on the pitch before the end of the current season, he celebrated a major event in his personal life a few days ago. He and his partner welcomed a son into the world a few days ago, whom they named Marco. Congratulations!
