Arsenal Weekly Vol. 7
All relevant information, news and interesting facts from the second week of March [9 March - 15 March 2026]

Arsenal opened the Champions League knockout stage last week at Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, where they eventually took a draw into the return leg. The rematch, which is scheduled for this week, will start from virtually scratch in north London. In the Premier League, they have made the Mikel Arteta's in the match against Everton after a heart attacking finish, another important step towards the dream goal. Arsenal's win over Everton is even more valuable when you consider the result of the West Ham-Manchester City game. You all probably know very well that the Cityzens drew at the London Stadium. Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League table now stands at 9 points. Arsenal may have had a big week, but I dare say the next one will be even bigger. The Gunners will take on the Champions League Round of 16 rematch in a week and then take to the pitch at Wembley in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City at the weekend. We have a lot to look forward to!

Champions League

  • Arsenal at Bayer drew and took the result to the rematch 1:1. In a game that was not very attractive for the spectators, it looked for a long time that the Gunners would go to London with a loss. Premier League

  • Mikel Arteta may not even know he had a really golden hand in the substitutions. Both goals in the match were scored by substitute players, and to make matters worse, both scorers (Gyökeres, Dowman) were also assisted by substitute players (Hincapié, Martinelli). Martinelli).
  • The biggest cherry on top. Arsenal's second goal came after a solo effort across the pitch. a 16-year-old young man Max Dowman. The goal, which was his first ever for Arsenal's senior team, set a new Premier League record. Because Max Dowman is at the age of 16 years and 73 days became the youngest scorer in the history of the competition. To make matters worse, the young Englishman took away from the match award for the best player of the match. A night to remember!
    • Just for the record. Max Dowman is also the second youngest player ever to play in the Premier League (aged 15 years and 235 days). The top spot still belongs to his teammate, who is is none other than Ethan Nwaneri (15 years and 181 days).
