FA Cup, Champions League and now the Premier League. Arsenal will be playing their third competitive game in a week, which in itself would not be unusual. But when you add in the fact that each of these games is played in a different competition, it's not so standard anymore. Not even by Arsenal standards. A busy week will end with the charges Mikel Arteta's with a home league game against Everton to consolidate their position at the top of the table. Arsenal have only eight games left to play in the Premier League before the end of the season due to the EFL Cup final. Including the one against Everton. While it may sound like a tired cliché, the Gunners must approach each of their remaining games as if it were the most important game of the season. And that's exactly what I expect from Arsenal. Now we can move on together to all the important things you need to know before the game.

Form
Arsenal, who, compared to Everton (and not only with him) very varied programme, he could have won his fifth consecutive competition victory at Leverkusen. But unfortunately, it failed to do so and in the end Mikel Arteta's charges could be happy with a draw, which was symbolically shot by Kai Havertz, who entered the world of football in the colours of Leverkusen. Everton's footballers are struggling on one front only, in the Premier League, where their results are rather erratic. Everything you need to know about the current form of both teams can be found in the tables below.

Team and expected line-up
To be honest, I think that compared to the lineup that ran out on Wednesday in the Champions League game against Leverkusen, we will see the bare minimum of changes. Personally, I'd make some changes in some positions, but I don't think Mikel Arteta will shuffle the lineup much as the end of the season approaches.

Expected line-up
I don't expect even one change in the defensive part of the lineup, although I think some of them could be good for the team. I wouldn't change anything between the three poles or in the centre of defence. On the right and left of the defensive four, it's a different story. Jurriën Timber has been looking a bit tired to me lately, so I wouldn't be afraid to put him in the starting lineup. Ben White, who's already fit. Piero Hincapié has been giving very consistent and quality performances, but the change in deployment Riccardo Calafiori wouldn't be a bad thing either, in my opinion. But as I wrote before, I don't think Mikel Arteta will make a difference defensively, but maybe I'm wrong.
Similarly, in the centre of midfield, I would be very surprised if the same trio as in Wednesday's Champions League game didn't come on. Martín Zubimendi and Declan Rice are virtually assured of their jobs. Plain and simple, I don't trust Rice or Zubimendi to sit on the bench. The situation is most open at the offensive center midfielder position, which is the favorite Eberechi Eze. In the game for the position of ten will certainly be also Kai Havertz, but my guess is that the English footballer will start from the first minute.
What about the offense? This time I'll start unconventionally with the spike forward position, where I expect to start Viktor Gyökeres. It is obvious that Arsenal's coaching team trusts the Swedish striker and relies on his qualities, so there will be no change in this position. Perhaps a little surprisingly for some of you, I have not included a left winger in my expected line-up. Leandro Trossard. In the section on absences, I will explain why. On the other side of the field there is probably not much to discuss. Or is there? Although Sako's game against Leverkusen was definitely not to his liking and on the contrary Noni Madueke, who replaced him, gave a solid performance, so I think he will be in the starting lineup again on Saturday Bukayo Saka.
Absences
I remind you again and again that the only truly long-term absentee is currently Mikel Merino. The biggest question, which Mikel Arteta traditionally answered in the pre-match press conference in a way that we didn't really learn anything about, is how they are doing Martin Ødegaard and Leandro Trossard. While I am inclined to think that the team captain will not play against Everton, I have even included the Belgian international in the starting line-up. Here is the promised explanation. The reason is actually very simple. Martin Ødegaard is dealing with a recurring knee problem, while Leandro Trossard has withdrawn from the FA Cup match as a precaution. Both players are in completely different situations. That should be it in terms of injured players on the Gunners side, oddly enough, all.
That brings me to my next point, which is that with an almost empty dressing room. not all players will get a match nomination. Unless we have some surprises tomorrow, whether nice or unpleasant, and if I have at least roughly guessed the composition of the line-up and the substitutes' bench, it seems to me that they will not fit into the match nomination Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman.

Match
I've written about this in a previous blog, I'm afraid we won't see any attractive football from Arsenal until the end of the season. After all, there is a lot at stake in every game now, and it would be foolish to think that Mikel Arteta won't sacrifice a pleasing display of play to get three points. On the other hand, North London footballers should feel much better in home games than in the outdoor ones, which could lead to a calmer and at the same time more interesting game. Also, a lot will depend on the opponent. With what goal and in what frame of mind they will go into the Arsenal game. Thanks to the fact that he is Everton are pretty high in the table by their standards, so David Moyes might want to play football with his team and not just defend fiercely. Where am I going with all this? The Arsenal vs Everton clash could paradoxically offer a quality spectacle.
Just briefly and clearly on the expected image of the game. Arsenal go into the game as the clear favourites, which they should confirm especially on the pitch. I believe that Mikel Arteta's charges will be more active, hungrier and, simply put, better in all the important aspects of the match. They definitely have the necessary quality to do so. The most important thing is of course the three points, which in my opinion will stay at the Emirates. In the end, all that's left is to add a tip on the exact result, so here it is. I predict Arsenal to win 2:0.
