Nothing much has happened in the Canaries camp in terms of activity on the transfer market for a long time, but in the last few hours everything seems to have turned upside down. Although the club itself has not yet officially confirmed any transfer, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has. His notorious "Here we go" is basically synonymous with official club endorsement. Let's summarize everything chronologically.
Triple "Here we go"
Arrival Martin Zubimendi (worth about £50 million) has been considered a done deal for some time. In his case, we are only waiting for an official unveiling by the club, which is scheduled for sometime in late June or early July. Another footballer who is on his way to Arsenal is goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. There were rumours about the Canaries' interest in his services at the beginning of the month, but then the speculation died down. That is, until yesterday, when the news came out of the blue that Arsenal had agreed terms with the player and paid his buyout clause (£5m). But that's not all. With the North London club's management failing to agree a contract extension with Thomasso I'm gonna... Mikel Arteta decided to address the situation immediately. During yesterday Arsenal completed another lightning transfer. The new addition to the midfield will be the experienced Christian Nørgaard. The Canaries will send approximately £10 million to Brentford for the services of the Danish footballer.
Shopping is far from over
And now it would be time to finally get those coveted offensive reinforcements. A spike forward and a winger. That's what every Arsenal fan is probably thinking right now. Well, I guess we'll all have to wait and see. Because today, the media has started reporting that Arsenal are working on signing a talented stopper Cristhiana Mosquery from Valencia.
The cherry on top
And the best part at the end... Myles Lewis-Skelly today officially signed a new long-term contract with the club until 2030!
