Leandro Trossard came to Arsenal in the winter transfer window of the 2022/2023 season from Brighton to increase competition and give the team more options towards the offensive end. Although he is not a stable member of the starting eleven Mikel Arteta'sso he gets on the field a lot and he plays his role perfectly. Apart from not having bad numbers (goals and assists) in his time in North London, he brings something different to Arsenal's game than his teammates. Low centre of gravity, great ball control, refined kicking technique and the ability to play with both feet. The Belgian all-rounder has it all. Does that remind you of anyone? I do, Santi Cazorla. Although they are not typologically identical players, many of their playing characteristics are similar. On the other hand, Leandro Trossard is more offensively minded and positionally versatile compared to his Spanish predecessor. The Belgian can play on both wings (or both ends of the midfield), at number ten and at the top of the attack, which is a huge advantage. He is not an easy man to beat in the starting lineup, his biggest competitor is currently the Brazilian speedster Gabriel Martinelli.
